Taking a rest from writing but waiting for Audible to publish Harry Lampeter's latest adventures

July is a nice month in the veg garden and I try to stay away from my computer and take a rest from writing. However, Craig Bowles has just finished narrating 'Harry Lampeter and the Unholy Alliance' and we are waiting with bated breath for it to be released by Audibles QA department. Enjoy the summer, grow more vegetables, but watch this space for news of Harry and Ms R's latest adventures.

Harry Lampeter and the Unholy Alliance   A satire at the expense of the establishment, but as Harry Lampeter says, ‘If you can’t take a joke, you shouldn’t have joined.’   Two years after he blew up the Channel Tunnel to foil the Franco-German invasion, Harry Lampeter returns to England, hoping for employment with MI6. The political climate in Europe has changed. The Roman Catholic Church, led by mad Pope Benedict XVII, is attempting to fill the power vacuum in Europe by reviving the Holy Roman Empire, with himself as Emperor. The CIA has other ideas, as do the leaders of the European nations.    Harry discovers that his half-sister, Emma, and her daughter are being held at the Mary Magdalen Hospital for Penitent Women and sets out to release them. Meanwhile, Ms R returns in a new guise, burning with anger and seeking revenge on her former boss, Brigadier Crisp, the head of MI6.   The fourth part in the series - Harry Lampeter and the Return to Steam http...

Public Lending Rights

A nice thing yesterday, an email from the Public Lending rights people telling me they're going to pay me some royalties for the four books I've got in Suffolk Libraries (UK). I checked the library service website and found that two of my books were quite popular last year. The stock team have decided to buy copies of my latest offerings, 'The Digital Meltdown' and 'A G I - Artificial General Intelligence' so I'm hoping for a slightly bigger cheque next year. If you're an author, consider getting in touch with your local library service. Get them to buy your books, the money isn't great, but the exposure is certainly worth having. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B0D4JBBMDP https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0D4JBBMDP
