Martin Riley leads a normal life, much like any other person. He marries, starts a family, divorces and inevitably grows old. Now on his deathbed, unable to eat, drink, or talk, his end-of-life care is left to a living will, a software version of himself which he gave Power of Attorney to, years before.

Roger Ley has self-published eight novels and one anthology of speculative stories all of which are available on Amazon and Audible.
He was born and educated in London, and spent some of his formative years in Saudi Arabia. Later, he worked as an engineer in the oilfields of North Africa and in the North Sea before starting a career in higher education teaching computer-aided engineering.
His early articles appeared in print publications including The Guardian, Reader's Digest, The Oldie, and Best of British.
His speculative stories have been published on a multiplicity of websites and narrated on the Tall Tale TV, AntipodeanSF, Cryo Pod Tapes websites and broadcast on BBC Radio.
He lives in Suffolk (UK).
